The latest news from The British Racing Club

Summer stable visits for our members

The first of several stable visits kicks off this week at Wetherdown Stables, Lambourn where the Club horse Spare Parts is in the capable hands of Charlie (and his father Barry) Hills. Trips to visit Tom Dascombe in Cheshire, Richard Hughes in Lambourn, Ed Vaughan in Newmarket and Emma Lavelle in Marlborough will follow throughout the summer.

A look behind the scenes of the Club’s website

People have been asking us exactly what information a person gets as a British Racing Club member, so we have published a few pages from ‘behind the scenes’ of our Members exclusive website. Sign up to the Club and you will have full access to our library of information, video and photos as well as the daily updates. You will also receive our two or three weekly newsletters which keep all our members up to date with race plans, stable visits and competitions.

When we arrange a stable visit or declare a horse to run we put up a box on the website dashboard so that any members who would like to attend can just click enter now. It is as simple as that.

Once you log in to our website you are taken to the dashboard. Here you will find the latest news from the Club and updates on the horses. We also publish a blog daily by one of our 4 professional racing/sport journalists. We have something for our members’ every day and not just about racing. These blogs also provide our members with betting information.

Monday - This week’s racing, Monday through Thursday....

Tuesday - What's happening or what has happened in the racing world.

Wednesday - A list of horses to follow. A select list of horses that our man thinks will improve next time out.

Thursday - Nigel Seeley's sports thoughts for the week.

Friday - Where and when to find this weekend's racing action.

Saturday - Weekend racing preview.

Sunday - Something for the weekend, usually an Owner’s newsletter from one of our trainers.

We provide live racing festival paddock picks from one of the best racehorse judges in the country. These are published on the website before each race at the main festivals. We had our man in the paddock for every race of the Royal Meeting sharing with us the horse that particularly caught his eye in the parade ring at Ascot.

However if the festival paddock picks don’t come around often enough for you, our Club tipster is in action everyday posting a couple of selections on the website.

Whenever a Club horse runs we stream audio or video interviews with our jockey and trainer before and after the race. These exclusive racetrack interviews provide BRC members with an insider’s understanding of the opposition, the chances and the tactics we will employ so that you can watch the race wherever you are with the same information as those who were able to be at the races.

Once you are logged we have an entire page dedicated to entries and declarations so you can keep up to date with the Club horses potential racing plans when they are entered in a race and when they are declared to run.

So, stop daydreaming about being a racehorse owner and start feeling like one by joining the British Racing Club today! Plus, as a Rewards4Racing member we’re delighted to offer you £25 worth of points just for joining!
