The Jockey Club has released version three of their ‘Race On’ app.
The free mobile app has been available since early 2018, with the October update providing new features that set to further improve the digital experience for racing fans at all 15 of The Jockey Club racecourses.
The majority of tickets are now available electronically, giving racegoers the option to display them using the mobile app, or print them off at home. Over half of attendees now opt for App tickets, with many more choosing to print their own tickets. A trend that is leading the way in the industry.
In addition to digital tickets, The Jockey Club app also features a racecard, saving many racegoers from needing to buy one on course. Racecards for all fixtures are available on the app, including up-to-date information about the races, as well as expert tips. The latest release will also give racegoers the ability to mark their favourite picks in each race, which can then be easily shared to friends on the app.
Racegoers playing the popular toteplacepot bet will benefit further from the new and improved app, by creating a digital betting slip from their racecard that replaces the need to complete a paper slip. Placepot selections can be added directly within the racecard, which then provides a barcode that can be scanned by the Tote cashier.
Other notable features of the app include:
The Raceday 5 Game
A fun predictions game available on all racedays. Score points for your predictions to top the leaderboard, or create a private mini-league to compete against your friends. Plus, racegoers currently have the chance to win £10,000 on all racedays by playing the game.
The latest news, expert previews, video highlights, photo galleries and more.
Regular app exclusive competitions, with the chance to win a range of prizes, are run frequently across many of The Jockey Club racecourses.
A handy guide to going racing including interactive course maps.
