One of the most eagerly awaited fixtures of the year at Haydock Park, the Betfair Chase on 24th November will kick start the Jump season. A Grade One race that always attracts the very best chasers, the Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Native River, Nicky Henderson’s Might Bite and last year’s winner Bristol De Mai all have their eyes on this year’s Betfair Chase.
The 2018/19 Jump season will also see the return of the Jockey Club £1million Chase Triple Crown, a prize awarded to connections of any horse that wins the Betfair Chase, the 32Red King George VI Chase at Kempton Park and the Magners Cheltenham Gold Cup.

Celebrating the Aintree Community Programme, the day will be filled with fun for all the local community. There will be a host of activities across the racecourse from all our different community partners including football sessions by Everton in the Community, Canter for Cancer by North West Cancer Research, Cycle rides by Wheels4All, Inflatable hitting net hosted by the Aintree Golf Centre, Pony Rides and a Community choir
At 11am, Aintree will mark the 100 years since the guns fell silent at the end of the First World War in 1918 by a minute silence. Working with the Royal British Legion, Liverpool Veterans and Veterans in Sefton, the racecourse will have a strong military presence supporting the #ThankYou campaign.
The day is also supporting The British Thoroughbred Retraining Centre (BTRC). At 11.45am, there will be an ex-racehorse parade featuring some well-known horses in the Parade Ring and throughout the afternoon, you’ll be able to meet an ex-racehorse up close in their exhibition marquee by the Queen Mother Lawn.
