The British Racing Club is a hugely exciting partner of Rewards4Racing. Just £25 a month allows you an owners’ experience to their exciting string of horses. Trained across the county on both the flat and jumps there is something for everyone.
If you can’t make it to the races when one of the horses is running, there is a live stream giving you the interview with the jockey before and after the race. The British Racing Club offer yard tour’s with a morning on the gallops as part of your membership and a fantastic opportunity to meet other racing enthusiasts.
It really is the best way to dip your toe in the water of racehorse ownership. Better still, when you become a member of The British Racing Club, you will earn £25 in Rewards4Racing points, so essentially your first month is free. Win win!
It is the most exciting time of year……
This has to be one of the most exciting times of year with the Flat season beginning to get in to full swing and still so much undiscovered talent in this season’s 2 year olds. Everyone is still full of hope and excited anticipation as to whether they could possibly be looking at the next Frankel.
This year the British Racing Club has three 2 year olds amongst its flat team and all so far unraced. The excitement has already begun to build between BRC members with every member picking out their favourite. Whilst we can’t wait to get them onto the racecourse it is so exciting to wonder what they might achieve this season, so while they remain unraced, the dreams remain very much intact!
WALTZING BELLE by Sir Prancealot x Shifting Bobbins
First up and probably our most forward 2 year old is our lovely Sir Prancealot filly Waltzing Belle. This beautiful chestnut filly has gone in to training with Charlie Fellowes in Newmarket. A potentially very exciting recruit for the Club, this filly is fit and well having been prepared for the breeze up sales, however due to an administration issue she didn't make it to the sales and hopefully the Club will be the benefactors. A good size, adorable head and a shiny coat - what more can we ask for! Charlie comments on Waltzing Belle - "She is a lovely, straightforward, sound filly with a great action and mind. She looks sharp and a readymade 2 year old so I wouldn't have thought it would be long before she makes the race track."
FILILEO by Galileo x Queenscliff
On the opposite end of the spectrum we have a slightly backward but rather special Galileo filly in training with Tom Dascombe in Cheshire. Filileo is out of the mare Queenscliff, she has a full brother called Giuseppe Garibaldi who was an exciting 2 year old and potentially very exciting 3 year old. She is Tom’s first Galileo progeny! The Club will be visiting Filileo at Tom Dascombe and Michael Owen’s state of the art racing yard on the 13th June. All members are welcome and given the opportunity to bring along a guest too.
MISS GARGAR by Garswood x Verge
Finally we have our Garswood filly who will be Lambourn’s flat representative as she is in training with Harry Dunlop. Miss Gargar’s breeding suggests that she will be all about speed. She is relatively forward in her work, her coat has come on leaps and bounds in the last couple of weeks and I’m sure it won’t be too long before we see her make her debut. She is straightforward and eager to learn which is always a huge positive for a young filly.
